1. LOCATION
-- Easy access location a few miles north-east of Hwy 50 & Sunrise Blvd.
-- Plenty of parking (about a third shaded) in this large, multi-building, 2-story, older, quiet complex (there's even a small deli in a front suit as pull in off Coloma Rd.) << Heads up: Upon 1st visit, be sure to allow time to find specific suite in specific building; as, there are A LOT of one-off suites on each floor of each building. The entire grounds is not a maze, but complex's sheer size, small "you are here" sign when first pull into lot, and volume of non-descript doors is the challenge to finding just the one business looking for. -- The common walkways, stairs, elevator, and suite-doors are open to the elements once park car. Expect a decent walk. -- Parkins' suite #440 is located on the 2nd floor on the west end of the back building [looks to be labeled (in large, white letters) "300", but the "400" is visible IF park on far south property]--about 3 doors east of the key-pad access male/ female (1 each) restrooms, which in turn, are located at the top of the stairs once park vehicle. Look for the exterior wall plaque adjacent to the right of the front/exterior door (about shoulder heighth). -- Parkins' waiting room (upon entry from common walkway's front door): A.) Quiet, small, tight-spaced, homey-furnished, & shared with another practitioner--though devoid of clients...sans the one leaving from a just-ended session. B.) Push "notification have arrived" button adjacent to enterior door leading out of room. C.) Large water cooler available for client self-serve while wait. . 2. PARKINS' SERVICE -- Reliably keeps appointments (50 minute minimum time block), but does not send out reminder. -- Decent sized, one room setting with stand-up desk for appointment/payments make, Parkins' chair, one couch, and one-person stuffed chair. Thoughtful, soothing, contemplative decor, lighting, and color palet--including water feature on corner table. NO outside noises or disturbances from building or patrons from other practitioner down the small interior hall. -- Parkins does an excellent job via active listening, taking notes, asking reflective questions, and presenting thoughtful insight to not only illuminate blind spots, but to also give one pause to ruminate on--both "practical application" and "big picture." This is the talent of a seasoned, knowledgeable counselor at the prime of his career. -- While Parkins' media ia forthright as a Christian LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist), he uses it as a well of wisdom he draws from, not brandishing it in any off-putting manner.
