This parking lot operates a scam with Hope towing company. I parked in the lot because my wife who has a broken ankle at the time had a court date to attend. While my vehicle was parked and I did pay a $10 fee to park. My vehicle was only parked for about an hour and I came back and my vehicle was towed. Douglas parking and Hope towing told me that I was parked in a monthly only lot but the sign didn't say that. Hope towing told me they give kickbacks to Douglas parking for being first call towing service. The worst part was when I came out to get my vehicle I couldn't find it. I asked several Shreveport police about where or what may have happened to my vehicle and they told me to call the number for the parking lot cause they didn't know and the parking lot had no attendant to be seen. How can you call and say a vehicle is not parked in the right location and not have someone available to let you know what happened. What kind of uneducated society in downtown Shreveport do we have that they are to lazy to tell anyone anything or be seen. I will be posting in the BBB about Douglas parking and Hope towing about the scam they are running in downtown Shreveport.

I was unaware that they charge for parking at night. I went for an event downtown after 7 and parked in their lot. When I returned, I had a $33/53 ticket on my car. I think late night parking should not get ticketed. Very bad business practice for a city that struggles to bring descent people and activities to their downtown.

Don’t park here while you’re getting cancer treatments or you will be charged $33. Even though the parking meter where u pay was broken for months and never got charged. I’m not going to a concert or a fair, I’m parking here to so my husband can get cancer treatments at Feist Weier! This is Extortion!
