Paved lot with pit toilet. The bathroom is stocked. Approx 40 spaces. NO trash service, E-Bikes or dogs; rangers enforce. Peaceful and quiet surrounded by trees, and you have cell service in the parking lot but not on the trail. You can hike for hours and only see one person. It is startling to have a bike ride up to you quickly, bells encouraged. Happy hiking!

Cool place but not for a beginners. There are some tools for your bike at the parking lot right next to the bathrooms such air pump and few ranches. The hike it self is fairly difficult due to the fact you basically just go down hill the whole time on the begging which means you will have to climb up. We walked all the way to the lowest point of the trail and then walked back which took us a little less then 4 hours (about 9 miles and 154 floors).

Most of the hike is in the shade so you wont have an issue there. However, keep a watch for mountain bikes as they tend to fly down those hills and its not always easy to see them coming. Also do make sure to pickup a map as there is no reception anywhere on this trail and its much easier to get lost here then most of the other trails in these mountains. Many trails have a sign that says its not accessible by emergency vehicles so this is not a place you want to get lost in.

Took the biggest loop around in 16 miles and less than 3000' elevation gain. Ground super saturated with run so it was very soft and muddy at places. Frequent down trees were encountered due to recent storms. View is typical tree forest but an overall moderate and great outdoor

Enough free parking space here with public toilets which really need a good cleaning.

This parking is at an elevation with lots of twisty turns. One also has to be careful about deers. We saw 3 just at the side of the road but didn't see any Deer Signs along the way.

We took the Sierra Morena trail from here and went to Methusela tree, Tafoni Sandstone structure and Vista point through various trails.

There is parking at some other spots as well which isn't clear on the map. People park roadside too late morning when no other space is left.

Nice parking lot that can fill quickly on the weekends. No running water but there are bathrooms. If you’re there late and the gate closes don't worry as it will automatically open as you get close but note you might needed to drive over it more than once and it swings towards you! (Swings inside)

Absolutely gorgeous hike.. with rain last few days, ferns, greenery and a beautiful sunny day the hike couldn't have been any better.

Plenty of parking with a lovely trail network. The sand sculpture nearby is the star of the show. Relatively easy to hike in and out with decently wide trails and not very crowded with people. So many paths means a pretty wide dispersed area for hikers.

Beautiful well kept trails. There is at least one old growth redwood and a gorgeous second growth forest. Access is easy and plenty of parking. Equestrian access is also easy. Highly recommend. (no Dogs allowed)
